Good food and great service.I took my husband to eat at this location for his first time. We had to visit a sick relative in Jax today. We decided to have dinner in Jax before heading back to Tallahassee. We will be back.

I admit I was a little reserved about the place. However, after getting our meals and sitting down and the smell was amazingly wonderful. My husband had the catfish dinner...fried to perfection. With a nice flavor and taste that tickled you pallet. The field peas (black eyed peas) were spectacular and seasoned just right. The greens were also seasoned very well. The shrimp dinner...the best ever!!!! The Mac-n- Cheese reminded me of that good ole Virginia style Mac-n-Cheese. The way it was molded together and flavored perfectly was simply grand. The yams had a balance of seasoning that complimented the sweet potato’s that were just tender enough to melt in your mouth. I enjoyed the meal and we will be visiting this location again. Good food good food there’s no other way to put this! Oxtails are to die for, I don’t eat much soul food anymore, but when i pass by this place I have to stop, lines be long but I don’t care! that’s how good it is especially the cornbread! yup so good so good, the servers are fast, they smile here and there but mainly they keep a straight face to push through the traffic. It’s nice to sit down and eat there as well because the lines are pack but not always the dining area. It some bright colors on the wall to go with the lighting not too dark like a lot of restaurants.

The Soul Bistro in Jacksonville Fl was delicious. This southern restaurant serves homemade food. Kudos to the staff and their customer service. We look forward to coming back when in town. I highly recommend the greens, candid yams, fried chicken and desserts.

I visited Jacksonville this past weekend and decided to try Soul Food Bistro which was recommended by a family member. It was delicious and the employees were absolutely pleasant and helpful. I will visit again and this will be my new spot for food while in Jacksonville. Hats off to the chiefs and the entire team of workers. The dinning area, and restroom were very clean which is plus for me. We had to wait for the Porkchops but guess what, it was worth the wait, hot and great to taste. The seasoning in all dishes were dead on point. We had the 8 Piece Family Dinner with Yellow Rice & Gravy Yams, Lima Beans and Cornbread. I had a side of the Potato Pie (Yummy Yummy). All for 43.00 which was a great price.
